The Crystal Maw

Story

The old bridge is rotten, and for hardwood you need an iron axe. The iron for it lies in the Crystal Maw, the mine of the people, deep underground, where something is clicking.

Walkthrough

1. Find the Crystal Maw
   • The Crystal Maw lies before the bridge, the quest marker shows you the area.
2. Mine copper
   • You mine copper from the walls with the pickaxe, you need two for a stone forge.
3. Mine iron ore
   • You find iron ore further down, and for two iron you need four ore.
4. Descend into the hall of ore chunks
   • About five floors further down lies a hall full of ore chunks.
5. Defeat the ore scorpion
   • The ore shell can take a lot, so look for a spot where it isn't protected and stay away from the sting.
6. Follow the clicking into the depths
   • Down there the paths only run one way, and the clicking leads you on.
7. Defeat the metal beetle queen
   • The queen is slow and heavy, dodge her and strike when she has swung.
8. Open the chest
   • Behind the queen stands a chest, go and see what's inside.
9. Escape in the mine cart
   • Behind the chest stands a mine cart, so jump in before the tunnels cave in!

Reward

The queen has dug in, but you have iron
